Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting machine, press brake, welding machines, and other fabrication equipment.
• Follow work instructions and procedures to construct fabricated products to Belvac quality standards.
• Ensure safety while operating machinery and adhere to established Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Read prints, shop orders, tooling instructions, and layout sheets to determine product specifications.
• Compare laser g-code programs with part drawings to prevent errors.
• Verify proper processes by observing machine control panels and job documentation.
• Communicate with Manufacturing Engineering department to make necessary corrections.
• Exhibit troubleshooting capabilities to correct fabrication problems.
• Perform hand layout of sheet metal parts for cutting, bending, and drilling.
• Repair sheet metal components to meet aesthetic quality requirements.
• Use precision measuring and layout instruments properly.
• Deburr and part mark as needed.
• Assist in sanding, grinding, polishing, and sand blasting when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned machines and work areas.
• Perform preventative machine maintenance.
• Work with Belvac's Quality Management System as it pertains to job requirements.
• Improve processes to reduce set-up and run-time standards.

Requirements

• Experience in operating CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, MIG and TIG welders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Good eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety practices.
