Overview

EK is looking for a full-time Welder ready to work hard and build their welding experience with our team. The ideal candidate will be able to weld a variety of metals and alloys and navigate blueprints successfully.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols.
• Use GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts.
• Perform welding on carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Hand layout of weldments with little to no supervision.
• Use fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts.
• Assist with creating work instructions.
• Complete inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures.
• Pressure test fuel tanks and hydro test glycol tanks.
• Analyze weld processes and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• 1–2-year Technical Welding Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience in related welding industry preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in related welding industry accepted.
• Experience with GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW welding processes.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
