Overview

This position is for an Air Reserve Technician (ART) who serves as a section supervisor overseeing employees involved in the evaluation, repair, and modification of aircraft structural components. ARTs maintain active membership in the Air Force Reserve and receive military training on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees engaged in condition evaluation, test, repair, modification, and overhaul of aircraft structural assemblies.
• Oversee identification, removal, and prevention of corrosion on assigned aircraft and ground support equipment.
• Inspect machines, weld, repair aircraft components, and design support equipment for aircraft maintenance.
• Provide training to reservists in task accomplishment.
• Perform work planning responsibilities.
• Direct work responsibilities and administrative tasks.
• Apply Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles to personnel management actions.
• Ensure compliance with security directives and promote safety and health habits.
• Serve as a technical advisor to the Flight Chief in resolving production problems.
