American Range is a 100% employee-owned company offering a unique and fulfilling career opportunity as a Cell Tig Welder. The role involves performing welding operations on various materials while ensuring quality and compliance with production standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations on fabricated weldments using stainless, carbon steel, and aluminum.
- Interpret drawings to achieve required tolerances and part quality.
- Complete tig and/or mig welding assembly of fabricated parts.
- Adjust, fit, and align components to meet close tolerances.
- Utilize jig fixtures to ensure consistent fit-up.
- Setup and perform welds from specifications and drawings.
- Follow Welding Process Sheets for machine settings.
- Operate shop arc welding equipment effectively.
- Select proper heat and filler electrodes for welding.
- Adjust voltage to perform welding operations under established criteria.
- Comply with production quality standards and workflow requirements.
- Maintain welding equipment and request servicing for malfunctions.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and document 5S activities.
- Assist in training other operators and maintain workflow within the group.
- Provide assistance with other operations within the fabrication cell.
- Read and listen to assignments effectively.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Specialized training in welding.
- Minimum of two to three years of previous welding experience.
- Ability to assist others with projects and provide instruction.
- Mobility and strength to lift components up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
- Required to wear a welding helmet or approved eye shielding.
- Use of personal protective devices may be required.
