Sea Reach Ltd. is an award-winning, full service exhibit design and fabrication firm located in Sheridan, OR, collaborating with private and governmental agencies in the design, production, fabrication, and installation of interpretive exhibits and wayfinding signage across the United States and internationally. The ideal candidate should be polite, reliable, and possess a can-do attitude, with the ability to work well with others and contribute ideas for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team while contributing to production in the shop.
• Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for fabrication and assembly.
• Perform welding on various metals including mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Design and create jigs for production items as needed.
• Fabricate products with precision for disassembly, shipping, and reassembly.
• Use hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
• Read calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools for accurate fabrication.
• Operate forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
• Conduct quality inspections using schematics, blueprints, and basic math skills.
• Travel nationwide for installations.
• Basic electrical knowledge for wiring audio boxes or interactive elements is helpful.

Requirements

• Proven experience with hands-on fabrication work in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and press brake machines.
• Mechanical knowledge of soldering, assembly processes, and fabrication.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic geometry and math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to visualize a three-dimensional object from a flat drawing.
• Willingness to travel for installations.
