Overview

Join our team at Terex as a Welder on the 1st shift in Huron, SD, where you will have the opportunity to turn raw steel into structural foundations for utility trucks and equipment. Terex is committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive work culture that values quality, innovation, and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, and weld steel components for aerial devices and digger derricks using GMAW/FCAW processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and WPS, set up jigs/fixtures, prep and finish welds, and perform in-process checks.
• Follow Terex 'Zero Harm' expectations, required PPE, hot-work controls, and LOTO when applicable.
• Use overhead cranes and material-handling equipment to stage, position, and transfer parts safely.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and team members to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
• Participate in training to expand capabilities and progress through defined skill levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience welding steel using GMAW (MIG) and/or FCAW in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
• Working knowledge of weld quality standards and ability to perform basic visual inspections.
• Ability to safely use overhead cranes, hoists, and material-handling equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and consistent use of PPE.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and positioning materials.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts.
