Overview

Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Process Mechanic – Welder to join their Fabrication Team in Berkley, MO. The role involves various tasks including welding, sheet metal fabrication, and applying treatments to aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Improvise guide blocks and holding devices as required and assist in tool tryout.
• Make production aids such as fillers, shims, and pads.
• Scribe reference lines and fabricate parts to specified tolerances.
• Align parts after welding and heat treatment to correct distortion.
• Cut, drill, burr, file, trim, and layout items for painting.
• Apply gold leaf and decals, and layout stripes on aircraft.
• Setup and operate power-assisted and power-operated benders.
• Perform tubing modification and layout for aircraft and mock-ups.
• Use various hand and power tools for fabrication tasks.
• Apply primary Radar Cross Section (RCS) treatments to aircraft surfaces.

Requirements

• 1+ years of welding experience.
• 1+ years of experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
• 1+ years of experience in general sheet metal fabrication.
• 1+ years of experience in sheet metal forming.
• 3+ years of experience operating an automated welding machine is preferred.
• A Welding Certificate is preferred.
