Overview

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. The Technician (Welder) role involves performing TIG welding and supporting various cell operations in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding to refurbish aircraft engine components to meet quality standards.
  • Support the cell operations in benching, blasting, brazing, blending, polishing, and cold working processes.
  • Potential to be trained on operating new Automation Machines.
  • Attend EH&S training programs and take personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
  • Support the continuous improvement programs and CORE activities.

Requirements

  • GCE 'O' Level or NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical or relevant disciplines.
  • 3 years relevant experience in TIG welding.
  • Comfortable to learn new welding methodology.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical drawing and standard operation procedures (SOP).
  • Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
  • Willing to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
