Overview
The Welder II position at Collins Aerospace is an entry-level role focused on learning and training in various welding operations. The company, a leader in aerospace and defense solutions, seeks individuals who can operate welding equipment under supervision while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in TIG welding tasks with minimal supervision to meet quality and production standards.
- Learn and operate automatic and manual welding machines according to specifications.
- Perform cleaning operations after welding to maintain production quality.
- Inspect and check dimensions using precision gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Learn alloy and assembly operations necessary for furnace operations.
- Operate CNC equipment as required to complete welding processes.
- Perform non-production welds as needed and support specialized welding tasks.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints and specification sheets.
- Complete production documentation with accuracy.
- Support and adhere to all rules set by Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Quality, and Continuous Improvement (CI).
- Participate in Continuous Improvement processes to enhance production efficiency.
- Work extended shifts or overtime hours as required.
Requirements
- Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent (e.g. G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Additional Information
- This is a second shift role; working hours are 3:30PM-12:00AM.
