Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder with a strong background in stainless steel pipe welding. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in welding procedures, inspection, and maintaining quality standards throughout all stages of the welding process.

Responsibilities

  • Verify welding process/procedure required for each project through the Foreman and QA/QC Representative.
  • Verify or assist with the verification of fit-up prior to weld-out as required.
  • Complete and inspect all weld passes.
  • Verify the correct Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) before beginning welding tasks.
  • Be ultimately responsible for the quality and completeness of work, including removal of any buckshot.
  • Ensure 100% penetration is achieved on all pipe welds, including hydro-welds.
  • Inspect all welding equipment at the start of every shift.
  • Clean and apply stencil/stamp 3/8” from every weld upon completion.
  • Show up to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Complete and discuss a thorough Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) prior to starting each task.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and the company.
  • Sweep and maintain a clean, safe work area daily or as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years of experience in fabrication.
  • Proficient in stainless steel TIG (GTAW) welding procedures.
  • Knowledge in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) procedures a plus.
  • Ability to learn and perform other welding procedures.
