Overview

Manitou is a global leader in handling, access platforms, and earthmoving equipment, committed to improving working conditions and safety. The Welder position involves safely performing welding tasks to fabricate and repair heavy mechanical products while adhering to production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld duties as specified by procedures, layout, blueprint, diagrams, work order, and oral instruction.
• Acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification as the minimum requirement for all weld positions.
• Weld components ranging from simple tacks to complex welds in varying positions.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products.
• Operate related equipment and tools including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, torches, drills, punches, and tape measures.
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.
• Maintain a level of work performance in accordance with Manitou standards and/or job specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Must have or acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to train or work during hours outside of scheduled shifts.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

• Available Shifts: 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 5a-3:30p, 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30p-2a (15% Shift Differential).
• This position is located in Madison, SD.
