Overview

Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a Welder / Fabricator for an immediate position in Anchorage, AK. The role involves welding, fabricating, and repairing compactors, offering a full-time, long-term opportunity with a competitive starting pay.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and repair of trash/compactor containers and trash trucks metal repair.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks and work as a team.
• Assist with roll cart delivery to local customers.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to meet Pre-employment requirements.
• Experience in welding and fabricating.
• Experience in electrical and hydraulics is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Additional Information

• Starting pay is $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
• Schedule is a 4-10 schedule, 6am to 4pm with weekends off.
