Overview
The Welder position at Jensen Infrastructure - QMC CRANES involves applying welding processes to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts and assemblies. This role leads a team of Crane Structural Welder Employees and ensures high-quality welding on structural components of cranes and heavy machinery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the activities of Crane Structural Welder Employees.
- Provide assistance and troubleshoot production problems.
- Engage in interactive communication and train workers in production methods and safety procedures.
- Adhere to schedule and maintain regular attendance.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and perform routine housekeeping.
- Examine and inspect work progress and equipment for safety and specifications.
- Record personnel, production, and operational data.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for welding requirements.
- Weld and fabricate structural crane components using various welding techniques.
- Use fabrication tools and equipment to complete tasks.
- Ensure all welds meet industry standards and safety regulations.
- Inspect materials and structures for defects.
- Collaborate with engineers and fabricators for proper fit and alignment.
- Assist in the assembly and installation of crane structures when necessary.
