Overview

The Welder position at Jensen Infrastructure - QMC CRANES involves applying welding processes to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts and assemblies. This role leads a team of Crane Structural Welder Employees and ensures high-quality welding on structural components of cranes and heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the activities of Crane Structural Welder Employees.
• Provide assistance and troubleshoot production problems.
• Engage in interactive communication and train workers in production methods and safety procedures.
• Adhere to schedule and maintain regular attendance.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and perform routine housekeeping.
• Examine and inspect work progress and equipment for safety and specifications.
• Record personnel, production, and operational data.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for welding requirements.
• Weld and fabricate structural crane components using various welding techniques.
• Use fabrication tools and equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure all welds meet industry standards and safety regulations.
• Inspect materials and structures for defects.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators for proper fit and alignment.
• Assist in the assembly and installation of crane structures when necessary.
