Responsibilities

• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start and safe operation of multiple pieces of equipment.
• Source materials to be utilized in projects.
• Measure and cut materials to specification.
• Weld materials, aluminum and steel using the correct bonding material to join components together.
• Check finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on fabrication blueprints.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment is required.
• MIG, steel welding, aluminum welding, pipe fitting, and other welding skills/certifications preferred.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment while following standardized work requirements.
• Must be able to work both independently and as a team to achieve production and departmental goals.
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and written instructions to fabricate to exact specifications is required.
• Must have physical stamina, ability to stand while performing job duties, and ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed throughout workday.
• Knowledge of Production Procedures and Safety Requirements preferred.
• Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities is preferred.
