Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welder to support the fabrication, assembly, and joining of structural and piping components used in high-performance aerospace and defense applications. This hands-on role works closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to execute precise, high-quality welds while maintaining strict safety, quality, and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform precision TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and arc welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-nickel alloys.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Execute high-precision laser welding on thin-gauge and high-strength alloys while controlling heat input, distortion, and weld integrity.
- Fabricate, assemble, and pressure-test structural and piping systems.
- Follow established welding procedures and maintain compliance with applicable industry and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve fabrication and manufacturing challenges.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and process optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; technical welding certification preferred.
- 5+ years of welding experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other high-precision fabrication environments.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
- Experience with all-position welding (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead).
- Demonstrated ability to fabricate and weld carbon steel and stainless steel structures and piping to specifications.
- Ability to pass welding qualification tests and quality inspections.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial, outdoor, elevated, or confined-space environments.
