Overview

The Welder position at VFS involves operating welding equipment to move and weld pipes while adhering to industry standards. The role requires knowledge of various welding processes and includes responsibilities such as applying certification stamps and preparing pipe bundles for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Manually move pipe in and out of weld machinery.
• Operate weld and plasma machine to apply welded outlet to desired pipe.
• Operate hand held weld gun to apply reweld as specified.
• Apply certification stamp to weld area using metal stamp and hammer.
• Move pipe along table to off load onto pipe carts to transfer finished goods.
• Push carts of pipe to load area for loading purposes.
• Operate pneumatic bander to ready pipe bundles for shipment when required.
• Complete training curriculum including safety requirements while demonstrating an acceptable level of competence.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Handle additional tasks as deemed necessary by management.
