Overview

Wells is seeking a safety-focused Certified Welder to assist in the production of steel products by performing various tasks including cutting, welding, and fabricating steel components to blueprint specifications. The company emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the importance of creating quality structures that support communities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of steel products.
  • Perform housekeeping and follow safety requirements.
  • Cut steel and move materials throughout the facility.
  • Cut welded assemblies to blueprint specifications.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
  • Make mathematical calculations and detect discrepancies.
  • Read production drawings and take accurate measurements.
  • Use a variety of tools including hammer, measuring tape, drill press, band saw, and ironworker.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a welding certification.
  • Must be able to pass welding test for GMAW and SMAW.
  • Previous work experience in cutting and welding.
  • Ability to read a tape measure within 16th of an inch.
  • Detail-oriented and dependable.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
