Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. The Aero Mechanic is responsible for the safe coordination of assembly and disassembly of all aero derivative machinery, inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, and assemble power turbines, gas generators, and accessory gear associated with aeroderivative machinery.
- Possess a proficient knowhow of professional hand tools to adequately perform daily assignments.
- Continuously gain knowledge of products, materials, and procedures to better perform duties including updating safety processes.
- Keep the work areas clean and well-organized during disassembly, inspection, assembly, and when the job is completed.
- Be ready to travel to job site when called with tools and safety equipment.
Requirements
- Hands-on shop and/or field service experience in aero-derivative turbomachinery repair.
- Technical knowledge of aero-derivative turbomachinery repair.
- 4+ years of aeroderivative machinery experience is preferred but not required.
