Total Safety is seeking a Shop Tech to maintain shop machinery and equipment, ensure compliance with safety standards, and assist in various maintenance tasks. The company is a leading provider of integrated safety and compliance services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment by wearing PPE and observing safety rules.
• Assist in mechanical maintenance and repair as requested.
• Service and clean shop equipment to maintain usability.
• Replace worn parts as necessary and use lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist Welder/Fabricator Specialists with welding and fabrication tasks.
• Clean and organize the shop daily and manage materials and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and filters.
• Keep the yard organized and assist in the disposal of outdated materials.
• Assist in building and grounds maintenance and records management.
• Handle routine problems and schedule interruptions throughout the day.

Requirements

• Equivalent work experience in a shop environment.
• Must be self-motivated, flexible, and able to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.
