Overview

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings and backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician to conduct repairs and maintenance on tank cars, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction while working in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct railcar inspections to ensure compliance and perform necessary repairs.
• Meet customer expectations and requirements to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information.
• Maintain all required certifications and demonstrate familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work safely and follow proper procedures.
• Must work in all types of weather conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License.
