Overview

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is seeking a Carpenter for a jobsite in Mont Belvieu, TX. OPD is an engineering/construction company with expertise in the natural gas and petrochemical industries, known for its commitment to integrity and efficiency in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the layout of the project.
• Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.
• Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Utilize tools to repair and erect structures.
• Work on ladders and scaffolding.
• Check work to ensure it meets code and specifications.
• Use surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
• Create structures for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Aim for high production with quality output.

Requirements

• Two years of previous experience as a carpenter.
• Must be able to read blueprints and perform basic math calculations.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote areas.
• Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
• Willingness to attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
• Must meet basic physical requirements.
