The Railcar Repair Technician conducts repairs and maintenance on tank cars while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct railcar inspections to ensure compliance and perform necessary repairs.
• Meet customer expectations to ensure satisfaction with work.
• Complete all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information.
• Maintain all required certifications and demonstrate familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work safely and follow proper procedures.
• Must work in all types of weather conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Additional Information

• Starting Pay Rate: $24.08
