Overview

The Mechanic role in Houston, TX is responsible for maintaining and servicing vehicles to ensure they are clean, mechanically sound, and well-stocked, ultimately enhancing service quality for crews and patients. The position emphasizes high standards of vehicle maintenance and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics as needed.
• Perform small repairs and installs with AMR supplied tools.
• Conduct vehicle switches for maintenance and repair.
• Clean ambulances and other field vehicles inside and outside.
• Organize and clean the Fleet shop.
• Check and top off vehicle fluids prior to rig swaps.
• Ensure the workspace is clean and organized.
• Inform Supervisor and Fleet Maintenance of breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Document condition of ambulances and schedule preparedness for shift personnel.
• Update crew in service information on the computer for equipment tracking.
• Respond to daily phone inquiries from crews for coordination.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner according to company policy.
• Arrive for duty appropriately groomed and in proper uniform.
• Complete all required company training.
• Adhere to company and information security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Some experience in the industry preferred.
• Some mechanical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid State Driver's license.
