Overview

The Mechanic role is responsible for retrieving vehicles due for service or repair, aiming to reduce downtime and enhance service quality for crews and patients. The position ensures that vehicles are clean, mechanically sound, and well-stocked, maintaining the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics as needed.
  • Perform small repairs and installs with AMR supplied tools.
  • Conduct vehicle switches to bring vehicles in for maintenance and repair.
  • Clean ambulances and other field vehicles inside and outside.
  • Organize and clean the Fleet shop.
  • Check and top off vehicle fluids prior to rig swaps.
  • Ensure the workspace is clean and organized.
  • Inform Supervisor and Fleet Maintenance of breakdowns and equipment failure causes.
  • Document condition of ambulances at EOS and schedule preparedness for shift personnel.
  • Update 'crew in service' formation on computer for equipment tracking.
  • Respond to daily phone inquiries from crews to facilitate coordination.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner in accordance with the company’s 'Standards of Conduct' policy.
  • Arrive for duty appropriately groomed and in the proper work dress/uniform.
  • Complete all required/assigned company training.
  • Adhere to and comply with all company and information security systems policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Some experience in the industry preferred.
  • Some mechanical experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid State Driver's license.
