Overview
Archaea Energy, a bp company, is a leader in landfill gas to energy and the largest renewable natural gas (RNG) producer in the US. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and repair of industrial combustion and environmental equipment across North America and Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Travel as required.
- Install and commission industrial systems.
- Complete field assembly of equipment as required.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair existing systems.
- Conduct controls troubleshooting.
- Perform maintenance services.
- Train customer personnel.
- Complete any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by Manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical and/or Electronics work experience or five years industrial mechanical/electrical field service experience.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to solve problems and communicate professionally in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with combustion and environmental equipment and burner management systems.
- Ability to read electrical/ladder schematics and ladder logic diagrams.
- Familiarity with industry specifications like NEMA, NEC/NFPA, UL.
- Familiarity with PLC Control Systems, preferably Programming/Debugging.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including globally.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

Additional Information
- Located in Houston, TX.
- Negligible travel should be expected with this role.
- This role is not eligible for relocation.
- This position is not available for remote working.
