Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair the facility's building structures and systems.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus such as wiring or electronic components.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to the maintenance plan.
- Provide proper supervision and tracking of inmates/residents assigned to the Maintenance Department.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
- Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
- Equivalent technical/trade school courses may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
