Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and repair the facility's building structures and systems.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus such as wiring or electronic components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to the maintenance plan.
  • Provide proper supervision and tracking of inmates/residents assigned to the Maintenance Department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
  • Equivalent technical/trade school courses may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
