Overview

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company focused on delivering launch services and spacecraft design. The Welder III position involves welding and fabricating components for rocket engines at the Long Beach headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to set up and operate welding systems.
• Weld assemblies according to work orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
• Follow blueprints and meet product specifications within tight tolerances.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in welding with a focus on advanced techniques.
• Experience in industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Shipbuilding, or Construction.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO, D17.1).
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including manual GTAW(TIG), OTW (Orbital Tube Welding), Laser Welding, and Lathe Welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Experience welding on .011 - .250.

Additional Information

• Willing to work Monday - Thursday (3:15pm - 1:45am).
• Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.
