Overview

At Allegion, we help keep the people safe and secure where they live, work, and visit. The Spot Weld Helper position involves assisting production welders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at Krieger Specialty Products, a leading manufacturer of special purpose doors and windows applications.

Responsibilities

  • Load, position, and clamp parts for spot welding and assist welders during setups.
  • Operate basic spot-weld equipment and hand tools per instruction and safety procedures.
  • Inspect welded assemblies for visible defects and remove finished parts to staging areas.
  • Clean and maintain work area, consumables, and basic tooling; report equipment issues.
  • Follow written work orders, production schedules, and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; on-the-job training provided.
  • Prior manufacturing or welding shop experience helpful but not required.
  • Ability to read basic work instructions, measure to tolerances, and use hand tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Able to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed; 18+ years old.

  • Classification: Non-Exempt
  • Reports to: Production Superintendent
  • Shift: 1st: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
