Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot critical weldments ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements and weld parameters are followed.
• Document best practices to support production.
• Assist with root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware.
• Accurately report problems, solutions, and results.
• Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related welding experience, or a minimum of 6 years of prior related welding experience in lieu of a degree.
• Previous experience E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW.
• Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ), setting weldments up for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post weld.
• Experience with weld specifications.
• Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications.
• Experience moving large structures or hardware.
