Overview

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembler & Tester B for the 2nd shift, focusing on assembling and testing mechanical assemblies for military parts. The position requires minimal supervision and involves using various hand tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies.
• Ensure activities are performed correctly using proper tooling and documentation.
• Organize data and prepare test reports.
• Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate tasks.
• Identify and implement best practices proactively.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized test equipment as needed.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and testing schematics.
• Perform cross training when required.
• Prepare materials including lapping of surfaces.
• Conduct visual inspections and handle defective items according to procedures.
• Use test equipment for in-process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Assist in process improvements.
• Adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is calibrated.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in assembly within a manufacturing, aerospace, or military environment.
• Must be a U.S. person due to access to export-controlled information.
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA.

Additional Information

• Core hours are from 1:45pm to 10:15pm.
• Hourly rate is $25.88 plus a $2.00 shift differential.
