Overview

Mason is a subsidiary of Transdigm that designs, manufactures, and markets highly engineered products for the aerospace and defense markets. The Repairs Technician role involves disassembling and reassembling various products, performing testing, and ensuring repairs meet specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and rebuild small rotary switches and electrical assemblies.
  • Work at the bench in the repair center, rebuilding end products to original specifications.
  • Perform repairs according to established approved data and wire according to schematic diagrams.
  • Conduct hand soldering following wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and repair center instructions.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, alignment, and adjustment.
  • Bond and seal parts together to form subassemblies and end products.
  • Stamp parts to identify units being rebuilt.
  • Recognize switch functional anomalies.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards.
  • Enter data into ERP and use a computer for communication and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED.
  • Minimum of three years of electro-mechanical assembly experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of FAA Regulations 14CFR’s 43 & 145.
  • Soldering certification of J-standard rev-C is a plus.
  • AS degree is preferred.
  • Hand soldering and wiring skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to read and follow written repair station instructions.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Mid-level computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
