Overview
The Production Worker 2 is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of automatic or semiautomatic machines, performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring production items meet specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates a range of automatic or semiautomatic machines.
- Performs maintenance of production machinery and test equipment.
- Uses documents such as blueprints, schematics, models, or specifications to perform work.
- Troubleshoots machines that are not at peak performance and finds solutions to problems.
- Receives parts from assembly line and/or stock room for in-process and/or final tests.
- Performs documentation and reporting of final test results.
- Evaluates and verifies that production items are within tolerances and meet specifications.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
Requirements
- A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
- Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Skilled in the setup and operation of automatic or semiautomatic machines.
- Strong math skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex instructions including schematics, blueprints, models, or specifications.
- Able to apply an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area.
- Effective oral and written communication.
