Overview

Ibarra Group LLC is a specialized provider of ornamental ironworks, metal fabrication, and welding services, producing a wide range of custom products tailored to client specifications. The Fabricator role involves reading blueprints, operating machinery, and ensuring quality and safety in the fabrication of metal components for various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Lay out, measure, cut, form, and assemble metal components.
  • Operate shop tools and machinery such as saws, presses, and grinders.
  • Perform various welding processes.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and specification requirements.
  • Fit and weld assemblies, finishing and cleaning welds.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project schedules.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and preparing fabricated products for delivery or installation.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in metal fabrication practices, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling steel and other metals.
  • Hands-on experience with welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and stick.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details accurately.
  • Skill in using fabrication tools and equipment like grinders, drills, saws, presses, and hand tools.
  • Attention to detail in quality control, including inspecting welds, dimensions, and finishes.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience in ornamental ironworks or metal fabrication is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in welding or metal fabrication are a plus.
