Overview
Sysco is looking for talented, hard-working individuals to join their team as Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II. This position offers opportunities for personal and professional growth while contributing to the success of a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles in accordance with legal and regulatory agencies.
- Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet vehicles.
- Execute quality maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
- Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups in a timely manner.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Document all work performed on work orders.
- Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs.
- Proficiently conduct electrical meter testing.
- Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
Requirements
- Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Annual Inspector Certification.
- Brake Inspector Certification.
- ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required).
- 609 HVAC Certification.
- Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software.
- Must provide own tools necessary for maintenance repair and diagnostics.
- Expert knowledge of all vehicle systems and components.
- Moderate knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA safety regulations.

Additional Information
- Sign on Bonus for new hires up to $12,500
- Pay: $25.24-$37.84 per hour based on experience
- Day Shift: 3-day work week Thursday – Saturday
- Day Shift: 4-day work week Wednesday – Saturday
- Night Shift Differential: $2.00 Per Hour
- Training provided including OEM training, Thermo King Training, EPA training
