Overview

This Pipefitter/Plumber position offers an exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturer, where the individual will perform journey-level work in the fabrication and repair of piping systems and components under general supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform journey-level work in the fabrication and repair of piping systems and components.
  • Install, repair, alter, and troubleshoot piping systems and connected equipment.
  • Lay out and fabricate various types of piping/tubing systems.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair regulators, gauges, valves, traps, filters, and safety valves.
  • Install and repair drainage systems in compliance with applicable Plumbing Code.
  • Rig piping, valves, and other components safely and effectively.
  • Operate hand/power tools and test instruments used in the trade.
  • Adhere to workplace safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment.
  • Assist in performing duties of other trades as required.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 5 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in pipefitting or associated mechanical trade.
  • Adequate skills to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Vocation or technical school certification is preferred.
  • Completed courses in Layout, Steamfitting, and Plumbing are preferred.
  • Familiarity with local Plumbing Code is preferred.
  • Ability to read P&IDs and isometric drawings is preferred.

Additional Information

  • Day shift (7 am - 3:45 pm) or 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:45 pm), determined by position availability.
  • Environmental conditions will vary based on the job being performed.
