Overview

C&C Lift Truck, Inc. is seeking an experienced A Level Shop Technician to repair forklifts and heavy equipment in Edison, NJ. The company, founded in 1977, has grown to become a leading forklift dealership in the Tri-State area.

Responsibilities

• Perform IC forklift repairs, including complex diagnostics on all makes and models.
• Conduct large repairs such as transmission overhauls and engine rebuilds.
• Diagnose and repair fuel systems for Gas, LPG, and Diesel.
• Repair electric forklifts and diagnose complex wiring issues.
• Perform battery and charger diagnostics and repairs.
• Conduct hydraulic system repairs and brake and steer axle system repairs.
• Complete scheduled PM and repair assignments within the allotted time.
• Use diagnostic tools to test forklift components.
• Perform quality inspections on junior technicians’ repairs and services.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or related mechanic jobs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Computer proficient with experience in digital workorder systems and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to push, pull, carry, grasp, reach, and crouch as needed.
• Effective communication skills with management, customers, and other employees.
• Ability to interpret documents and comprehend basic instructions.
• Ability to analyze information and write a diagnosis on work orders.
• Ability to decipher different colors.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Willingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Shop hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
