Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our team, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems, maintaining a safe work environment, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate must possess certifications S12, S13, and S14.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and standards.
- Conduct regular assessments and rounds of all building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building equipment and systems.
- Perform minor painting tasks and assist with general housekeeping.
- Monitor and maintain air conditioning, refrigeration, and chilled water equipment.
- Maintain and repair hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.
- Respond to and perform services for tenants as requested.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with new system installations.
- Ensure systems are operated and maintained in compliance with local, state, county, or federal codes.
Requirements
- Availability to work Thursday through Monday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
- Must possess S12, S13, and S14 certifications.
- Proven experience as a Mechanic/Operating Engineer or similar role in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to handle physical tasks and operate various tools and equipment.
Additional Information
- This position may require working outdoors, in confined spaces, and at heights.
- Availability for on-call or after-hours service requests may be required.
