Overview
The Certified Welding Inspector is responsible for quality assurance on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client, conducting on-site inspections during the construction phase. The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with Project Managers to determine specific requirements of work orders.
- Resolve issues with Project Managers, fabrication shops, contractors, BV employees, and third parties.
- Ensure services are performed in accordance with project requirements and client contracts.
- Generate and process timesheets, billing reports, expense reports, and inspection reports.
- Maintain positive relationships between Bureau Veritas, fabrication facilities, and clients.
- Work remotely, on-site, or from Bureau Veritas offices/work sites.
- Communicate technical issues to Project Managers, clients, BV employees, and fabrication facilities.
- Identify situations requiring additional PPE.
- Use a camera to document inspections and insert photos into reports.
Requirements
- Current AWS CWI Certification required.
- NDT Level II - UT, PT, MT required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a dedication to quality control and assurance.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
