Overview
The Maintenance Technician IV - Welder position at Facilities & Construction involves providing maintenance services, ensuring completion of work orders, and performing a variety of skilled maintenance activities including welding, plumbing, and electrical tasks. This role is essential for maintaining the safety and functionality of facilities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings for efficient installation of systems.
- Estimate labor and materials for job completion.
- Fabricate equipment parts to meet specialty needs.
- Inform personnel about procedures and work order status.
- Install various materials to provide enhancements and upgrades.
- Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition.
- Oversee other Maintenance Technicians to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facilities.
- Complete journey level functions in trades such as plumbing and welding.
- Prepare written materials to document activities.
- Repair facilities, equipment, and systems for safety.
- Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to job sites.
Requirements
- Job-related experience within a specialized field is required.
- Targeted, job-related education in a relevant area.
- Skills in performing maintenance involving carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
- Ability to use hand and power tools skillfully and safely.
- Knowledge of methods, practices, equipment, and tools used in various trades.
- Ability to analyze situations and draw conclusions.
- Flexibility to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Problem-solving skills to identify issues and create action plans.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Additional Information
- 12 months, 8 hours/day work schedule.
- Non-Interim Position.
- Start date: 7/6/2026.
- Need to provide a 5 year driving history from AZ Department of Motor Vehicles.
