Overview

FNA Group is a leading manufacturer of consumer and industrial pressure washers and other power equipment, known for its acclaimed brands like Simpson and Delco. The Maintenance Technician III role in Mesquite, TX involves performing equipment diagnostics, repairs, and installations to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment uptime metrics are met for manufacturing and facilities equipment.
• Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic seals, hoses, cylinders, solenoid actuated valves, and hydraulic pumps.
• Troubleshoot motors, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
• Work with simple circuits, 3-phase power systems, motor controls, AC/DC Drives, PLCs, and servo drive systems.
• Rebuild or replace equipment wearable parts.
• Use a digital multi-meter to identify faulty wiring, blown fuses, faulty switches, terminal ends, circuit boards, breakers, and photoelectric controls.
• Provide electrical services including running conduit, installing/disconnecting junction boxes, fuse boxes, and replacing faulty breakers.
• Safely operate shop tools such as cutoff saw, drill press, bench grinder, hydraulic press, vertical band saw, arc welder, acetylene torch, and various hand tools.
• Collaborate with engineering on line improvements, tooling improvements, fixturing, ergonomics, etc.
• Assist in training lower level maintenance personnel.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with maintenance project management.
• Support other areas of operation during absences or staff shortages.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Mechanical/Electronic Engineering Technology or high school diploma with related work experience.
• Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman license preferred but not required.
• 5-10 years' manufacturing experience in a maintenance position preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (120, 240, 480V).
• Solid understanding of PLC controls and control circuits.
• Welding and metal working experience/understanding.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Commitment to all aspects of safety.
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
• Lead or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Robotic experience is a plus.
• PLC programming experience is a plus.
• Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.

Additional Information

• Typical work schedule is Monday through Thursday 6am-4:30pm, Friday and Saturday 7am-3:30pm.
• This position provides 16 hours of overtime each week.
