Overview

Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking Track Laborers in Irving, TX to join our team. This position involves installing railroad track and embankments and requires the ability to use various hand and power tools and track machines.

Responsibilities

• Installs railroad track and embankments including special track work, road crossings, signage, and rail lubricators.
• Uses hand and power tools and a variety of track machines.
• Works as a member of a crew or independently.
• May work under the direction of a Railroad Track Foreman or Railroad Track Welder.
• Engages in regular and consistent participation in Herzog’s Culture.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years’ experience in railroad track construction and/or maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of safe and proper procedures for operating track tools and equipment.
• Ability to complete work under time pressures.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.

Additional Information

• Available to work a 40 hour work week subject to overtime, on call and alternate shifts.
