JE Dunn is committed to hiring inspired people and providing them with interesting work and innovative tools. The Equipment Mechanic will support Blue Hat Equipment operations by performing maintenance and repairs on construction equipment according to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and diagnostic inspections on construction equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns on site or via phone communication.
• Document and enter data for completed maintenance and repairs accurately.
• Communicate timely with internal and external partners regarding maintenance questions.
• Order parts for equipment repair based on manufacturer specifications.
• Receive, organize, store, and distribute equipment parts and supplies.

Requirements

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• Apprentice Program or Vocational training on equipment repair preferred.
• 2+ years of mechanic or maintenance operations experience preferred.
• Ability to perform work accurately and in a timely manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to learn the operating/accounting system for data entry.
• Knowledge of maintenance operations including engine oil changes and diesel engine operations.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Additional Information

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Typically, travel is not required.
• May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
• Frequent activities include standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Occasional activities include sitting and viewing a computer screen.
