Overview

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is a provider of power solutions and services, focusing on delivering scalable infrastructure for mission critical environments. The Metal Shop Technician - Welder will fabricate and assemble metal structures using various welding techniques and tools, requiring experience in reading blueprints and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
• Operate MIG and TIG welders.
• Cut, shape, and join metal parts using hand and power tools.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Repair metal components and equipment as needed.
• Follow all workplace safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a welder or similar role.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 2 years in general welding and metal working or associated field.
• Experience in the use of hand tools and hand power tools.
• Valid driver’s license (for service-related positions).
• Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).

Additional Information

• Schedules Available: Mon–Thurs 4×10 schedule or Tues–Fri 4×10 schedule.
• This is a FLSA non-exempt position and is paid on an hourly basis.
• This role is based on the production floor and requires standing for extended periods.
