Overview

Electric Boat is at the forefront of the shipbuilding industry, designing and supporting advanced submarines for the United States Navy. The company is seeking Quality Inspectors to ensure components meet high standards of safety and performance as part of the Virginia and Columbia Class submarine construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection duties at offsite locations, verifying attributes for welds, structures, and components.
• Collaborate with team members to meet company and organizational goals.
• Maintain Magnetic Particle certification and potentially other inspection disciplines.
• Document and archive inspection processes and previous work statuses.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR 2 plus years of related technical experience.
• Must be able to obtain & maintain an MT, PT, or ET certification.
• Ability to grind joints and clear indications as needed throughout the inspection process.
• Ability to work all shifts, extended weekdays, weekends, and travel to offsite locations as needed.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions.
• Possess basic hand tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of War.

Additional Information

• Position located at the Rhoads Industrial facility in Philadelphia, PA.
• Relocation package offered to eligible candidates.
• Travel expectancy will be 30-40%.
