Overview

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/HVAC who is inspired by innovation and integrity. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance and service functions in an industrial setting, ensuring the functionality of manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools to fabricate parts as necessary.
• Install and troubleshoot all utilities associated with the manufacturing process.
• Perform general maintenance and service functions as required.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical repairs and maintenance, welding, pipefitting, air conditioning, carpentry work, and painting.
• Perform periodic inspections and tests and report findings.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and oral instructions.
• Use all hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for completion of assignments.
• May direct other employees assigned to the job.

Requirements

• Skilled Trade appropriate apprenticeship papers, journeyman’s card, trade school diploma or contractor licenses is required.
• Must have an EPA 608 Universal Certification Card.
• Three or more years of skilled trade work experience is required.
• A high school diploma or a GED equivalent is required.
• The candidate must supply all customary hand tools of the trade.
• All candidates must be able to lift, bend and perform the normal activities of a physically challenging position.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires US citizenship.

Additional Information

• The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
