Overview

OnTrac is hiring a Maintenance Technician 2 for Conveyor Systems, seeking individuals eager to learn and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic company. Founded in 1986, OnTrac is a leading provider of same-day and next-day delivery services in the U.S. for major e-commerce and product-supply businesses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Respond in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
• Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
• Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
• Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up and conveyor and equipment clean-up.
• Conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.
• Occasionally work after hours to ensure MHS systems are working at optimum capacity.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years related experience and/or training in mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Welding experience is required.
• Current Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls.
• Knowledge of VFDs, PLC, and electronic motors (480V).
• Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
• Mechanical work experience.
• Industrial electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis.
• Good time management skills and ability to work independently and as a team.
