Overview

This position is for a Mechanical/Materials/Manufacturing Engineer at ifm prover USA in Malvern, PA, focusing on becoming a subject matter expert in joining technologies for temperature and flow sensors. The role emphasizes hands-on problem-solving and collaboration across various departments to launch new products and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Become the subject matter expert in all joining technologies at the plant.
• Be a vital member of cross-functional teams throughout the entire lifecycle of a product.
• Solve unique challenges as new products are launched and current production issues are addressed.
• Partner with Industrial Engineering to develop new fixtures and tooling for joining processes.
• Stay updated with customer and industry trends to deliver new joining technology.
• Ensure benchmark First Pass Yield (FPY) and equipment availability for all joining equipment.
• Create and maintain testing requirements for joint quality verification.
• Serve as a safety leader to ensure high levels of safety controls for new processes and equipment.

Requirements

• BS in a related engineering field.
• Metallurgy and/or laser processing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, such as G-code, is a plus.
• Knowledge of 3D design tools, such as SolidWorks, is preferred.
• Self-disciplined and self-driven with a proven record of driving projects to completion.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel 1-2 times per year for international interactions and training.
