Hartzell Aerospace Welding is seeking a TIG Welder I to join their team, offering a starting wage of $26 per hour. The company is part of Hartzell Aviation, which has a rich history in aviation and focuses on innovation and quality in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld customer parts and assemblies as requested.
- Work on high variety, low volume part tasks.
- Ensure at least 90% of completed parts pass the inspection process.
- Propose viable semi-annual process improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines.
- Complete necessary documentation for tracking work.
- Maintain general shop housekeeping.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Completion of an accredited welding course or equivalent on-the-job training.
- 1-3 years of high-level TIG welding experience.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Capability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills.
- Manual dexterity for detailed handwork.
- Experience with process standards and written instructions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
