Overview

Hartzell Aerospace Welding is seeking a TIG Welder I to join their team, offering a starting wage of $26 per hour. The company is part of Hartzell Aviation, which has a rich history in aviation and focuses on innovation and quality in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld customer parts and assemblies as requested.
  • Work on high variety, low volume part tasks.
  • Ensure at least 90% of completed parts pass the inspection process.
  • Propose viable semi-annual process improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines.
  • Complete necessary documentation for tracking work.
  • Maintain general shop housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Completion of an accredited welding course or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • 1-3 years of high-level TIG welding experience.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Capability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills.
  • Manual dexterity for detailed handwork.
  • Experience with process standards and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
