Overview

Barron Industries, founded in 1983, is a leading investment casting and precision machining company serving the aerospace and defense industries. They are seeking a TIG Welder & Plasma Cutter to join their 1st shift team in Oxford, MI, focusing on producing high-quality components for critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision TIG welding on aluminum and ferrous metals for aerospace and defense components.
• Use plasma cutting equipment to cut and trim metal parts to precise dimensions.
• Work to exacting specifications in a NADCAP-accredited facility.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Learn to maintain weld quality standards per AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with welding, quality, and engineering teams to ensure mission-critical components meet specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Welding experience and/or certification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, sit and stand for long periods, and pass welder vision exam.
• 1+ years of production welding experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems preferred.
• Multi-process welding capabilities preferred.
