Overview

Koss Industrial, Inc. is a leader in manufacturing custom stainless steel processing equipment for various sanitary industries. They are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to perform precision welding and fabrication on stainless steel components used in sanitary process systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel components according to project specifications.
• Execute sanitary welds for food-grade applications, including proper purge procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine welding sequences.
• Prepare materials for welding using various fabrication equipment.
• Measure and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Assist with assembly, fitting, and other mechanical fabrication activities.
• Safely operate material handling equipment when authorized.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety policies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed accurately.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Welding certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience welding stainless steel in sanitary applications.
• Experience with 12-gauge stainless steel and purge welding techniques preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Strong understanding of welding processes and quality inspection methods.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and industry welding standards preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
